Text Box: Celebrate! A PSEE Benefit to save the Arts May 22, 2010 PSEE is proud to announce the first annual district wide performing and visual Arts event for Pleasanton Unified School District. This day of performances will showcase choir, band, strings, drama/dance and visual arts at the Bankhead theater in Livermore. Save the date! Tickets will be sold to individual performances or as a full day pass. An Art Gala will precede the performance day on May 21, 2010 5-9 PM. A donation for attending the art gala is suggested but not required. Save the Music 2010! PSEE is proud to announce that a check was supplied to the district to cover the Elementary Band/Strings in the fifth grade ($90K) for this school year (09-10). Additinoally, PSEE provided $22,334 toward the reading specialists, CSR and counselors, supporting the overall I Love Pleasanton Schools campaign. Funding for the Elementary Band/Strings will likely be in jeopardy again for 2010-2011 based on budget forecasts, so PSEE is also proud to announce that we will continue to collect funds for these programs for next school year (2010-2011). How can you help? Donate NOW ! Any amount will help! 100% of the funds raised will go directly to these programs. Talk to your friends ! If you want to save the credit card fees and have 100% go to the program, send a check to PSEE at 351 Virginia Way, Pleasanton, CA 94566. . Does your employer do donation matching? Submit your donation for matching funds to your employer and double your donation!
Make checks payable to PSEE. PSEE will provide a donation receipt for your taxes to the address provided. If you wish to designate specifically, simply write Save the Music or VAPA Specialist. Please send it today. Undesignated funds will go toward the music. Save the Music At least $90,000 is needed to support the Elementary Strings/Band Programs for fifth grade students. To support the Save the Music (supporting Elementary Strings/Band programs) Learn more: Save the Music Flyer VAPA Specialists Approximately $200,000 is needed to fully support the Visual and Performing Arts (VAPA) Specialists. These specialist teaches elementary Art at all nine elementaries. This program has been cut for 2010-11. Learn more!
